Our popular dishes
Our donburi bowls are rice bowls that can bring meat and fresh vegetables together, and Chicken Katsu is one you can order. Katsu is crispy. Its name goes back to the English word "cutlet", which Japanese turned into katsuretsu, and the menu's "katsu" comes from that.
In our Udon Noodle Soup, the noodles sit in a full-bodied, savoury broth, and you choose from several toppings. Yaki Udon Dry Noodle is the one to pick if you'd like your noodles dry. Japanese curry tastes sweet and savoury at the same time, and you have it with rice and whichever protein you choose, or with katsu or vegetables.
We offer affordable pricing without compromising on quality or portion size, with made-to-order dishes using fresh ingredients. Our chicken is also sourced from a local supplier with valid halal certification, while our wagyu beef is not halal.

Seung Hwan (Bycal) LEE started the business in 2013. Since then, Yatai Express has grown to four locations across Sydney, including Burwood, Castle Hill, Blacktown and Mt Druitt.
At every location, all orders are prepared fresh with consistent quality, so you get the same great experience every visit, whether it's for a quick bite, lunch or dinner.

Our Burwood counter and opening hours
You'll find us at K40, Westfield, 100 Burwood Road, Burwood NSW 2134. We trade every day of the week from 10am until 9:30pm. There's plenty of parking at the centre, and you can also get there by public transport.
